Dusting Tip:
Use a paint brush to dust cracks and hard to reach places
Do you ever have a hard time dusting certain things? Some objects and areas are hard to reach and
instead of using a duster, try using a paint brush, it is much firmer and will get the job done
Getting rid of Gum:
We all know how tough and nasty it is to remove gum from anything, Well guess what all you have to do is harden the gum with ICE and then just remove it with a butter knife, its as simple as that!
Glass-Top Stove Cleaning Tip
Make sure the range is turned off and completely cooled.
Baking soda, white distilled vinegar or lemon juice will work wonders for cleaning stubborn food
stains. Wait until the glass top has completely cooled and wet a sponge or microfiber cloth with
water. When using baking soda, pour it directly onto the range, and let it sit for a while. Scrub
the surface with the wet cloth, and the burnt food should wipe off.
With lemon juice or vinegar. Fill a spray bottle with hot water, and add either lemon juice
or vinegar. Spray the solution directly on the stain, and wipe with a clean cloth. Repeat as
necessary. For both methods, don’t forget to rinse the clean spot again and wipe it completely
dry with another cloth.
How to Clean Grease
To make sure you get all the grease up, sprinkle flour over the spill. The flour will absorb the
grease and you can easily wipe it up. Just make sure it’s cool before you touch it! This works
great for a mess that hasn’t dried yet.
If the grease is sticky or hard:
Mix baking soda with water, you can use it to remove tarnish from copper, juice and coffee
stains from countertops, discoloration on stainless steel and hard-to-remove grease. Just mix
3 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 cup of water. Use the solution on a sponge to scrub away
light grease stains from hard surfaces, like countertops linoleum, the stovetop and even pots
and pans.
Grease on Clothes:
For soft surfaces, like clothing or table linens, squirt a little bit of dish soap directly onto the
stain. Let the soap soak in for about half an hour before running the linens through the wash on
cold. Soaps are meant to attach to grease and fat molecules and help wash them away, and
dish soaps are some of the strongest grease-fighters around. Used on clothes and other linens,
kitchen soap does a great job of releasing the grease from the fabric.
Grease on rugs or cushions:
Mix 1 part salt with 4 parts rubbing alcohol. Use a cloth to rub the solution hard into the stain
until it lifts away. After the grease is gone and your solution dries, vacuum up the excess salt
and use a damp cloth to wipe away any salt marks left behind.
For a Better Clean Floor
On polyurethane hardwoods, all you need are a few drops of dishwashing liquid on a
damp sponge mop. On (lightly soiled) ceramic-tile and vinyl floors, just water, and good old
dishwashing liquid can also come in handy. Use a sponge only on places where the mop does
not reach or for stains that will not come off easily. After this step you can mop the floor with a microfiber mop that can be washed in the washer and be re-used.
For Tile Floors:
Powdered oxygen bleach. A little of this powder dissolved in water and left to soak on your grout
will remove even the toughest stains — with little to no scrubbing!
How to Clean Wine Stains
Mix dishwasher soap and a little bit of water (depending on the stain). Soak up the stain with the
mix of the soap and water rub gently repeating the step until the stain is completely gone.
